1849 Annexed the Punjab
29 March 1849 is the day when royal Bengal Army under the command of Bristish East India Company annexed the Punjab


















1857-1858 War of independence
The War was Between The Indian Rebellion vs The British East India Company. Successfully Won by The British East India Company
 The rebellion is known by many names, including the Sepoy Mutiny, the Indian Mutiny, the Great Rebellion, the Revolt of 1857, the Indian Insurrection.
This War was fought in 1857 by Indians against the British in order to get rid of their domination. It is also given names as Indian Rebellion, Indian Mutiny as well as Indian Revolt. The main causes of the War were political, social, economic, military and religious.

     1885 Formation of the Indian National                                      Congress

On 28 December 1885, the Indian National Congress was founded at Gokuldas Tejpal Sanskrit College in Bombay, with 72 delegates in attendance. Hume assumed office as the General Secretary, and Womesh Chunder Bonnerjee of Calcutta was elected President





1901 and 1905 Partition of Punjab and Bengal happened

The decision to effect the Partition of Bengal (Bengali: বঙ্গভঙ্গ) was announced in July 1905 by the Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon. The partition took place on 16 October 1905and separated the largely Muslim eastern areas from the largely Hindu western areas. Wikipedia







1906 All-India Muslim League

1906 All-India Muslim League was founded The first stage of its formation was the meeting held at Lucknow in September 1906, with participation of representatives from all over India. ... 1905-1911 Partition of Bengal

The partition of Bengal was the most important event during the rule of Lord Curzon. It was carried out mainly for the convenience of administration. Bengal in those days was the biggest province of India extending over 1, 89, 000 square miles with a population of 80 million. It was comprising of Bengal, Behar and Orissa and was under the central of one lieutenant Governor. 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre

The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, also known as the Amritsar massacre, took place on 13 April 1919 when a crowd of nonviolent protesters, along with Baishakhi pilgrims, who had gathered in Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab, were fired upon by troops of the British Indian Army under the command of Colonel Reginald Dyer.
